Jose Fraguas: In your opinion, what role does fear play in a real fight?
Rickson Gracie: Fear is always present. For me that's good. You must be afraid. If you're not afraid, you're not intelligent. It's very important to respect your opponent and be afraid of what he can do. But this goes back to emotional control. Don't let the fear get strong. It's there, but you keep it in a shell. As soon as things start, you have to believe in what you know and in yourself, and turn on the automatic pilot. Just do it and don't think about it or your fear.
Rickson Gracie: Only the stupid don't feel fear.
Don't you just hate this....

A woman makes her own social science experiment. First, while very plain looking, she asked for free cake, and free taxi rides. She was rejected on every request but once. Then she got fully made up with heels, make up, and a revealing dress. She basically has everything thrown at her for free. men going out of their way for good looking women? groundbreaking science.
this was my second and final match for first place. he jumped guard early and i made another rookie mistake and messed up my standing guard pass. i didnt have a grip on his collar so i easily got swept back. after the fact i was like ‘how the hell did i let myself get caught in that?’ cause that would of been the same thing i would have done. lucky for me he fell right into my guard....
this was my first match. i made SOOOO many rookie mistakes in this its unbelievable. the competition really got to my head. i should of just taken back control (i practically had it) instead of go for that shitty armbar attempt. i want just hunting for submissions instead of make positions. when i was scrambling for his back, that all could of been avoided if i took his back originally and i...
